Westfield's proposals for a new retail and residential mixed-use quarter
Westfield has exciting plans for a high-quality, retail and residential mixed-use development on land directly to the north of Westfield London.
The scheme will create a modern and attractive townscape. It will become a vibrant pedestrian quarter with new homes, shops and businesses, with the ability to deliver real benefits to the community that lives and works in White City.
Once completed, the scheme is expected to generate over 6,700 new full-time equivalent jobs and will seamlessly link Shepherd's Bush, Kensington & Chelsea and the rest of the White City Opportunity Area.
Westfield submitted an outline planning application to the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in August 2011. The plans were revised in December 2011 as a result of further feedback from the GLA and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Please see the ‘Development’ page for the latest details. If planning permission is granted, further detailed applications would need to be submitted, with construction on the first phase unlikely to begin before 2014. Subsequent phases will be delivered over future years.
